Our Tire Cushion is the first product specifically developed and patented to prevent tire deformation.
In 2005, a well-known Swiss car collector, who noticed that his collector's items had been standing for some time, had always noticed damage to their tires. He asked his Swiss restorer and refiner, Erik Kress, whether he had a solution to this problem. So the research and search for possible solutions began. After three years of development, countless prototypes and many tests, the first tire cracker was presented to the public.
After many exclusively successful practical tests of the Tire Cushions by a wide variety of customers with a wide range of vehicle types and requirements, KW Premium Produkte GmbH (now EK Interieur Design GmbH) was founded in 2008, under which the production and sale of Tire Cushions began. In the same year, the word mark «Reifenkissen®» and later «TireCushion®» were registered for protection.
Over the years, the Tire Cushion has been continuously developed and successfully tested by countless customers - including Aston Martin in racing in 2017. The patent application was then filed in February 2018.
In 2023, KW Premium Produkte AG took over all rights relating to the Tire Cushion and implemented its vision of perfecting the product to its current version. The current version not only offers an improvement in handling and quality, but there is also the possibility of visually customizing it on request.
